Treatment Tailored To You
We understand that each person comes with their own unique story and set of goals. Yet we see so many practitioners repeating the same treatments to a large portion of their patients, with little progress being made.
At Chippewa Valley Movement, our care is focused on you and the goals you have set.
You are in control when it comes to your care. We are here to guide you through your journey to becoming the best version of yourself by supplying you with options and advice you need to reach your health and fitness goals.
Joint Manipulation
Research has provided evidence that a lack of proper joint motion in the spine, or extremities, may result in pain and dysfunction. One of the tools we use to address this is joint manipulation; otherwise known as an "adjustment". The goal is to restore proper joint function and a reduction in pain.
Functional Rehab
Exercise paired with passive treatment and education results in improved function and quality of life. Your personalized care plan will include goal-oriented exercises, along with corrective exercises. We seek to help you bridge the gap between pain and performance. We will always send you home with appropriate exercises.
Dry Needling
We use dry needling to relieve pain or improve range of motion. Research supports that dry needling improves pain control, reduces muscle tension, and normalizes dysfunctions with the muscle and around the joints This can help speed up the patient's return to active rehabilitation. Dry needling is safe and effective while only causing minimal discomfort.
Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy
Being trained in the McKenzie Method, we utilize end range loading as a self-care assessment and approach that is used to find a directional preference, through repetitive movement in your spine or extremities. This is especially useful in allowing you to actively participate in the management of your condition, and to take control of your current pain situation.
Myofascial Release
This treatment is used to address muscle tension caused by tissue overload, joint dysfunction, or under-use often caused by prolonged postural positions. MRT often results in a short term increase in range of motion and decreased pain, which opens the window of opportunity to improve function and movement.
Dynamic Neuro Stabilization
Being trained in DNS, we utilize it to retrain the neurophysiological aspect of the locomotion system. This allows for ideal spinal and extremity joint stabilization and leads to improved movement patterns and restoration of dysfunctional areas of the body.
