About Us

Who We Help

We help active adults overcome herniated discs and sciatica so they can get back to exercising, and living without fear.

They refuse to accept "you just have to live with it" as an answer.

They've tired of temporary fixes that keep them dependent on appointments and never actually get them back to 100%.

They want to play with their kids without wincing, get back to the gym, the trails, and the activities that make them feel like themself.

They're ready to take ownership, do the work, and build lasting resilience.

What We Do

We help active adults with herniated discs achieve independence and confidence through a structured recovery system that rebuilds their spine's capacity to handle what life throws at them.

This is done without long-term dependency on clinics, weekly adjustments, or passive treatments.

We do this through our one-on-one coaching program.

We help our clients build resilience, understand their bodies, and manage their own recovery. So they don't have to bounce between providers forever, hoping the next treatment will be the one that works.

Our Philosophy

We help our clients achieve resilience and independence by creating custom recovery plans that progressively rebuild their spine's capacity to handle load. All while teaching them to manage this long term so they never need another provider again.

Dr. Abe's Story

Dr. Abe Skaw DC

In 2022, I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, ready to help active adults recover from injury and get back to lifting, training, and living without fear.

During school, I shadowed dozens of PT and chiropractic clinics. I wanted to see what actually worked.

But no matter where I went, I kept seeing the same thing: 15-minute appointments, cookie-cutter care, and people being discharged when their insurance ran out... not when they were actually ready.

After graduation, I worked at a PT clinic. I thought maybe the PT model would be different.

It wasn't.

Dr. Abe Skaw, DC

I'd see people in their 40s and 50s who wanted to get back to the gym, play with their kids, and feel like themselves again. But neither system wasn't built for that. They'd get 6-8 weeks of stretches and basic exercises, then get discharged but still scared to exercise, still avoiding movements, still stuck.

So I opened my own clinic. I thought if I controlled the environment, I could finally give people what they needed. But even then, something felt off.

I could only see people a few times a week. I had no idea what was happening outside of our sessions. When they left my office, they were on their own. No support, no guidance, just hoping they were doing it right.

I kept seeing the same pattern: people would come in after months of bouncing between providers, hoping this time would be different. They'd been told to rest, avoid aggravating movements, and "give it time." But time wasn't fixing it.

What they actually needed was someone to give them a structured plan to rebuild their capacity, not just manage their symptoms. Someone to be with them beyond twice-a-week appointments.

So I transitioned to working with my clients online.

Now I can give people the time, education, and support they actually needed. I can be with them at the gym, on their golf trips, or in the evening when they had a question. I can build plans around their lives, not clinic schedules.

Since then, I've helped hundreds of people go from "I can't bend over to put on my shoes" to "I just hit a deadlift PR." From "I can't play with my kids" to "I hiked 5 miles with my son on my back."

I live in the Chippewa Valley (Wisconsin) with my two australian shepherds. When I'm not coaching clients, I'm in the gym, on the golf course, or learning something new.

If you're tired of temporary fixes and ready to get back to your life, let's talk.
